Commission terms and guidelines

Please read these terms and guidelines before getting in touch. By commissioning me you agree to these terms and guidelines:1. Payment
1.1. The payment will be made in full after the client has approved the sketch.
1.2. Once a client approves the sketch and the payment has been made, they can’t cancel the commission.
1.3. Payment can be done before I start working but is required after client has approved the sketch.
1.4. Payment can be made using PayPal (worldwide), bank transfer (EU), or a separate invoice (Finland only). When using PayPal, I will be sending an invoice. Client must not send money using my email before that.
1.5. If for any reason I can’t finish the commissioned artwork, I will fully refund the payment.2. The finished product
2.1. Client will receive a print-quality A4 300dpi file of the finished artwork.
2.2. Special files can be delivered based on request.
2.3. Client will receive both watermarked and not watermarked versions of the commissioned artwork.3. Communication during the commissioned work
2.1. Communication will be done in English or Finnish. I can also work in Swedish if needed.
3.2. Communication about the commission work will be done via email or selected social media app.
3.3. I do art as a side business, I am a student and have a job which might affect my working times and turnaround times of a commission work. This has been taken into consideration in pricing. I will immediately notify all my commissioners if there are any delays.
3.4. The client will be provided a general time frame for the sketch and other phases of the work and will be sent WIP’s during the process to make sure they’re satisfied with the work.4. Material and themes I will work with
4.1. I won’t draw anything offensive, racist, illegal or anything that can or is meant to cause harm to someone or a group of people. I keep my right to turn down commission work if it or the client makes me uncomfortable.
4.2. It can draw the client's original characters, fan art, real people the client has gotten permission from.
4.3. I won’t draw R18 material for minors or of minors.
4.4. I do not do character design commissions. For character designs or reference sheets I can refer you to other wonderful artists.5. Usage of the commissioned work
5.1. Commissioned works are for personal use only, unless stated otherwise by a separate written contract.
5.2. Client is not allowed to, including but not limited to, use the artwork commercially, sell it, publish or upload it to anywhere with an intent to profit off of it, duplicate, copy or trace it for monetary gain, use it to train artificial intelligence, monetize it or use it for monetary gain without a separate written permission from the original artist (elppidraws).
5.3. Using my artwork, even when commissioned by a client, to train any artificial intelligence or similar generative models is strictly prohibited. This includes both commercial and non-commercial image generators that rely on copyrighted material to train an image generating tool.
5.4. The client is allowed to post the commissioned artwork to their personal social media, use it on their profile, print it and frame it for personal use. They are allowed to create single merch pieces for personal use. The client must use a watermarked version of the artwork when posting online.
5.5. I (elppidraws) will keep the full rights to the commissioned artwork. The client does not receive rights to publish the artwork outside their own personal social media accounts. Exceptions to this can be made with a separate agreement.
5.6. The commissioned artwork might be posted to social media by the artist. If the client does not wish their commissioned piece to be posted on social media or be used to market future commissions, the client’s wish will be respected. The client will be mentioned if the commissioned artwork is published to social media by the artist, unless the client wishes to stay anonymous.6. Changing the terms and guidelines
6.1. I keep the right to change these terms and guidelines if needed.
